Dr. Ben Liu holds the George H. Hitchings Regents Chair in Drug Design in the College of Pharmacy and conducts research in the area of antibiotic-resistant bacteria through National Institutes of Health grants totaling $3.5 million.
He was recently elected a 2005 Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
AAAS Fellows are chosen annually by their peers to recognize their scientifically or socially distinguished efforts to advance science or its applications.
