Juan Miro
Juan Miró was born in Barcelona and obtained his professional degree at the Escuela de Arquitectura of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. In 1989 he earned a Fulbright Scholarship to complete a post-professional Masters degree at Yale University. As a Professor at the School of Architecture of the University of Texas at Austin, he teaches construction, architectural and urban design, and Mexican architecture. He is also a principal at Miró Rivera Architects, an internationally recognized architectural practice that has won over 70 design awards. In 2011, he was elevated to the College of Fellows of the American Institute of Architects for his contributions to society as a designer and educator.
