Mellie Price is a recognized educator, thought leader, and public speaker specializing in innovation and entrepreneurship. As the inaugural Executive Director of Texas Entrepreneurship at the University of Texas at Austin, she leads cross-campus initiatives to cultivate entrepreneurial skills, maximize entrepreneurship programs, and foster student success. She also serves as an Assistant Professor of Instruction with Texas Venture Labs (TVL), Texas Executive Education, and the M.S. in Technology Commercialization (MSTC) programs at the McCombs School of Business.

A seasoned entrepreneur, Mellie has co-founded several impactful ventures, including Front Gate Tickets, Major League Pickleball, SoftMatch, and Capital Factory. In 2021, she founded Purposeful Capital to educate, inspire, and fund small business owners committed to sustainable, profitable growth. This work became the foundation for the Wells Fargo Small Business Impact Program at the University of Texas, which she spearheaded in 2024.

In addition to her entrepreneurial and academic roles, Mellie serves as an Independent Board Member for Medical Informatics Corp and an entrepreneurship consultant to Fortune 1000 companies. She has contributed her expertise as a board member for Austin PBS, Leadership Austin, BEAM Women's Angel Network, Victory Fund, Animal Trustees of Austin, and the SAFE Alliance. She has also advised on commercialization initiatives for public officials.

Mellie earned her B.S. in Biology and M.S. in Technology Commercialization from the University of Texas at Austin, where her passion for innovation, education, and community impact continues to thrive.
