Dr. Strover researches and teaches various topics related to communications and telecommunications, including courses on the Information Society, telecommunication policy, research methodology, and technology and culture classes. She also co-directs the Telecommunications and Information Policy Institute at the University.

Current research projects include examinations of telecommunications networks and policies, digital inclusion policies, AI and surveillance systems, Smart Cities, and telecommunications infrastructure in rural regions.
