Srikanta Mishra received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Southampton, England following a master’s degree in audiology from the All India Institute of Speech & Hearing, Mysore. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship from the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles. Dr. Mishra's research focuses on peripheral auditory mechanics, hearing development, efferent system and otoacoustic emissions. Dr. Mishra's research is funded by the National Institute on Deafness & other Communication Disorders, National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Mishra has published scientific papers in Ear & Hearing, the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, Hearing Research, Journal of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology, and others. In addition, Dr. Mishra has been a reviewer for NIH and other grants. Dr. Mishra serves as an Assistant Editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology (JAAA), and has received JAAA Editor's award, 2013.
